The Checklist app can be used to exchange checklists by one of three methods:

1. eMail a checklist to anyone

2. Bluetooth Exchange of a checklist between Apple devices (device must be bluetooth capable)

3. Import / Export a Checklist to /from your PC. Once in your PC you can move the checklist to another of my apps. (devices must be at iOS 4 or better OR iPad must be at iOS 3.2 or better)

To START:

- From the Checklist Selection menu touch to highlight the checklist to exchange.

- Push Edit button

- Push eMail, Import, Export button

- The screen on the right will appear

Below are the steps to accomplish each type of exchange:

- After selecting the eMail option the screen on the right will appear.

- Touch the To: and type in an email address for the person you are sending the checklist.

- Push the Send button and the list is sent.

STEP 1

- After selecting the Bluetooth Between Devices option the screen on the right will be displayed. 

- Select Bluetooth Between Devices on the other iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch you will be exchanging with.

- The screen on the right will appear.

STEP 2

- Once both devices recognize each other the screen on the right will appear, showing available devices in bluetooth range.

- Touch the name of the device you wish to transfer with.

STEP 3

- Once both devices recognize each other the screen on the right will appear on the device you are sending the checklist.

- Touch Accept on the receiving device.

STEP 4

- Once both devices recognize each other the screen on the right will appear on both devices.

- Touch OK on both devices.

NOTE: If the checklist already exists on the receiving device you will asked to type a new name or accept the existing name. IMPORTANT - Accepting the existing name will replace the checklist in full on the receiving device. 
 

EXPORT - STEP1

- After selecting the Export option the screen on the right will be displayed.  This indicates that the checklist is now available to move to your PC. 
 

EXPORT - STEP2

- Tether your device to your PC.

- On the PC activate the iTunes program.

- Select under DEVICES category the device you tethered.

- On the iTunes tab line select Apps

- Scroll down until you see the section called File Sharing.

- Click the app name you are exporting from and the screen below will appear.

- Now click on the checklist and drag it to your desktop

- You can now delete the checklist that is still showing in File Sharing. NOTE: This does not delete the actual checklist on your device .... it only deletes the export file from your device.
 

IMPORT - PROCEDURE

- Tether your device to your PC.

- On the PC activate the iTunes program.

- Select under DEVICES category the device you tethered.

- On the iTunes tab line select Apps

- Scroll down until you see the section called File Sharing.

- Click the app name you are exporting from and the screen above will appear.

- Drag a checklist you previously Exported onto the File Share window to the right, which shows current Documents.

- Go into the checklist app under Checklist Selection screen, Edit, eMail Import Export and select Import Checklist.

- The checklist will be checked for proper formatting.

- At this point if all was OK the screen below will appear:
